The prominent newcomer and doctor of chemistry has more than 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, especially in technical operations and global supply chain management. Dr Erle held executive and senior management positions at Merck KGaA, Aventis Pharma AG and Hoechst AG, among others, where he was responsible for procurement, quality and production worldwide. Before setting up his own consultancy in 2014, Dr Erle was a member of the Executive Board of Merck Serono and, as EVP Head of Global Manufacturing & Supply, responsible for 23 international sites in Europe, the USA and Asia. Dr Hanns-Eberhard Erle joins the Entourage Advisory Board as of 1 June 2017.

Dr Hanns-Eberhard Erle holds a PhD in organic chemistry from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. Dr Erle looks back on more than three decades of experience with global players in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. The global product supply expert held executive and senior management positions at Merck KGaA, Aventis Pharma AG and Hoechst AG, among others, and was responsible for numerous plants in Germany and abroad. From 2007, he was Executive Vice President at Merck Serono, a member of the Executive Board, and as Head of Global Manufacturing & Supply he was responsible for production at 23 sites worldwide. In Vevey, Switzerland, he built, among other things, one of the largest biotech facilities in the world. Dr Erle has been working as a freelance consultant since 2014.
