International Business Leader Automation

As the International Business Leader for Automation, you will be a member of the Automation Lifecycle Leadership Team. You own the commercialisation strategy of these portfolios and ensure a successful implementation of the strategies. At the same time you are supporting the Lifecycle Team and the Customer Area Core Lab to deliver on its overarching priorities contributing to a holistic customer solution approach.

You will be a key interface in translating customer and business needs, as well as strategy on several levels into clear priorities for the International Business Team (IBT), so as to guide the focus of the IBT’s experts and squads. As such, you will closely work with the Customer Area Core Lab and the Lab Automaton Network, the corresponding Functional Partners who link to IBTs, as well as collaborate across Networks to deliver comprehensive and successful Customer Solutions.

Drive business results and customer value

  • Be accountable for the commercial success of the respective portfolio
  • Create the long-term strategic vision and product roadmaps for the respective segment together with Lifecycle Leader (LCL) and Project Leader (PL)
  • Primary point of contact for affiliates for questions about the overall LCT product portfolio
  • Identify new market opportunities and manage market risks
  • Develop and update the business cases and business plans for all LCT investments
  • Monitor market and customer feedback for lifecycle activities
  • Manage on market issues for product portfolio
  • Ensure availability of products for sale in right quality, quantity, cost and time
  • Prepare/track the global marketing budget, recommending adjustments in response to  internal/external influences
  • Build on priorities from Customer Areas and LCTs, define common objectives and KPIs for the Network

Advance the work of RDS, making tradeoffs and breaking silos

  • Collaborate with other Lifecycle Leaders and Lifecycle Teams on total business solutions
  • Manage relationships and communication with affiliates, other divisions and partners
  • Responsible for flow of relevant information between the LCT, International Business Team  (IBT) and affiliates
  • Mobilize the organization to support the product portfolio, including regions, sites and local management
  • Break down silos and improve working effectiveness as an ‘integrator’ across the organization as needed; in particular through collaboration with other Networks Leaders and stakeholders to resolve escalated bottlenecks and dependencies, as well as, rebalance work & help in line with greater strategic priorities

  • Establish, lead and maintain a highly effective multifunctional Business Team
  • Engage the IBT and cross-functional organizations towards a joint vision and common goals around our long-term strategic ambitions
  • Provide guidance and mentorship for the organization
  • Act as role-model for Agile Leadership behaviors, as well as for our culture, mindset & behaviors as defined in We@RocheDiagnostics
  • Model behaviors to support the organization’s transformation to new, more Agile Ways of
  • Working – e.g. new decision making/governance practices, collaboration, etc.

Ihr Anforderungsprofil.

Extensive years of sound marketing and sales experience in the IVD industry on a local, regional or global level

High degree of subject matter expertise:

  • Scientific,Medical or Economics background, business acumen, and experience in Lab Automation required
  • Deep understanding of the Diagnostics industry, lifecycle & development process and global trends
  • Past experience of working in an affiliate and/or global marketing leadership roles
  • Leadership and people development
  • Proven ability to inspire and motivate teams to make a big impact and deliver their best every day
  • Consistent record of building collaborative relationships with peers and teams, helping cross-functional teams address strategic opportunities and solve problems across the organization
  • A desire and openness to learning and continuous improvement, both of yourself and your team members
  • Proven Broad System/Automation Solution Consulting Expertise (Bringing End-to-End Solutions to the customer)
  • Expertise in Agile Coaching (e.g. SCRUM, OKR …)

  • Senior-level experience leading, motivating, coaching, and developing people and teams to drive customer focus in our mindset, work priorities and collaborative behaviors
  • Evidence of strong strategic thinking, communication, planning and organizational skills required, e.g., through experience successfully leading and executing strategic initiatives
  • Able to foster positive partnerships through effective influencing, negotiation and conflict management skills to achieve alignment up and down the organization
  • Commitment to the organization’s new way of working through greater collaboration and breaking down of siloes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including clear, succinct and timely communication and proven ability to foster and build important relationships with customers and key stakeholders
  • Ability to navigate within a changing organization, maintaining objectivity, respect for differences of opinion, fairness, open communication and consensus building skills

As this position is a global role, international business travel will be required depending upon the business location of the successful candidate and ongoing business project activities.
