Manufacturing Engineer (m/f/d)

Support the Germering site in the optimization of existing manufacturing processes, the development of new manufacturing concepts and the technical support of the ongoing series production of our HPLC devices over the entire product life cycle. Contribute your expertise to the planning, execution and implementation of international change projects and manufacturing transfers both internally (e.g. other Thermo Fisher sites) and externally (e.g. with international partners) Support the transfer of new innovative products from development to production (NPDI). Work in a collegial and professional environment at the interface to a variety of departments and actively and independently shape your daily work routine.

Your tasks.

A day in the life:

  • Collaboration in the transfer of new innovative products from development to production (NPDI)

  • Support in the planning, execution and implementation of international change projects and manufacturing transfers both internally (e.g. other Thermo Fisher sites) and externally (e.g. with international partners)

  • Technical support for the introduction of (electro-) mechanical or electronic test equipment in production and quality assurance both internally and at international suppliers in close cooperation with the Supplier Quality and Supplier Development departments

  • Technical support for the production of our HPLC devices

  • Product maintenance of ongoing series production over the entire product life cycle

  • Collaboration in the optimization of existing production processes and the development of new production concepts, taking into account current LEAN strategies (PPI)

  • Technical support for the change management department and the purchasing and logistics team

  • Execution, documentation and evaluation of test series in close cooperation and coordination with the development department (R&D)

  • Training and continuous further qualification of the production team

Your requirement profile.

The key to success:

Training

  • As an entry-level qualification for the position of Manufacturing Engineer, at least a technical college or university degree in a technical or scientific subject (e.g. mechanical engineering, physics (doctorate advantageous), technical or applied physics, electrical engineering, mechatronics, electronics or comparable subject) is required.

Experience

  • Ideally several years of practical experience in the fields of mechanical engineering, mechatronics, technical or applied physics, electronics and/or design in a manufacturing company with LEAN manufacturing in a regulated environment

  • Knowledge and experience in the field of fault analysis and rectification of mechanical, electromechanical and electronic components is an advantage

  • Experience in working with one of the common ERP systems (e.g. Navision, SAP) and product life cycle management systems (e.g. Agile) advantageous

  • Quick comprehension and very independent, reliable and demanding way of working

  • Good understanding of business contexts

  • IT affinity and great interest in new technologies

  • Experience with MS Office products

  • Very good communication and teamwork skills as well as good conflict resolution skills

  • Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
