Manager Electronics Design (m/f/d)

As Manager Electronics Design (f/m/d) at Leica Biosystems, you will be responsible, among other things, for leading the Electronics Design team (10 employees) to ensure the development of electrotechnical assemblies in development projects and product changes in compliance with regulatory requirements.

This position is part of our R&D team at our location in Nussloch/Heidelberg. The position itself is a hybrid (3 days p.w. in the office / 2 days p.w. in the home office) position.

Your tasks.

  • Technical and disciplinary management of the electronics development group and its further development
  • Continuous increase of efficiency and effectiveness in R&D through optimization of organizations, processes, tools and methods
  • Budget and resource planning for the electronics group
  • Creation and maintenance of regulatory required processes for the electronics group in compliance with DIN EN ISO 13845, IEC 61010-1 & IEC 62304
  • Review and approval of circuit diagrams, layouts and the assigned documentation
  • Planning and execution of FMEAs
  • Ensuring safety and EMC-compliant designs as well as review and approval in compliance with relevant development standards such as IEC 61010-1

Your requirement profile.

  • Completed technical studies in electrical engineering or comparable training
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of electronics development, of which at least 3 years in the field of medical technology products
  • Knowledge of requirements management and regulatory affairs desirable
  • Leadership experience desirable
  • Experience in risk management for medical devices according to ISO 14971
  • Experience with a common requirements management tool
  • Flexibility, ability to work in a team, creativity, strong communication skills and initiative,
    very good spoken and written English language skills; German language skills desirable
